MAR Imports began operation in early 2002 with the prospect of importing a unique range of indoor and outdoor concrete pavers.

This unique range of pavers was discovered by Matteo Esposito (Director) during a visit to Italy. His investigations lead him to the
manufacturer “ Baggatini Pavimenti SPA” in Bagamo Italy.

After lengthy talks with the manufacturer they agreed to a license agreement with
MAR Imports PTY. LTD as sole distributor for the Australian market.

MAR Imports began its marketing campaign in Melbourne and quickly established an association with 16 retail outlets throughout Victoria with gaining interest from architects, landscape designers, pool designers etc.


With the positive feedback from the Melbourne market we decided to launch the Sydney market in November 2003.

The products were received very well with an immediate response by architects, distributors and retail outlets from as far away as Byron Bay. They requested samples and catalogs for there displays ASAP.

MAR Imports intend launching the products into Adelaide and Queensland by mid March and Tasmania and Western Australia by May 2007.

In November 2002 Mar Imports also imported ceramic and porcelain tiles from Spain and Italy. We have a number of tile ranges exclusive to MAR Imports which include the Stonehenge range from Coem (Italy), Caravan range from Fontana (Italy), Quadrotti range from Silceramic (Italy) and a large porcelain range from Stylnul (Spain).
